Time: all day
Location: Church
Even as we are struggling to navigate these trying times of Covidtide, there is a very real need in our inner city parishes and families for love and concern this Christmas. There will still be the opportunity for you and your family to bless those in need as our parish has done for the past
20+ years.
The programs being set up by our contacts in the city and surrounding areas are being run differently in most places. Only some of the stars will have individual names of recipients while the majority of the others will be gift cards or general unwrapped toys to be given out to families. You certainly do not need a star to purchase a $20 gift card to Walmart, Target or Tops unless you need a tangible reminder! St Luke's is requesting $5 Tim Horton cards or $10 Tops cards to add to food boxes for their program this year. FISH and St. Lawrence are requesting unwrapped toys
for families. No one is accepting clothing this year even if it is new.
All gifts/gift cards will need to be in church by DECEMBER 6 at NOON. You are welcome to place cards early in the drop box outside the parish center, possibly in a Christmas card. Annunciation parishioners have been so very generous in the past so while we did not commit to any specific number of gifts we will deliver, we are hoping to be able to contribute to the need this year. The best remedy for weariness in the face of struggle is to get your eyes off of your situation and on to serving the needs of others. This is the gospel !! Thank you in advance for your care and
concern.
