Annunciation's Strong Start Early Learning Academy pre-kindergarten program is a Christ-centered learning community, which nurtures academic excellence, Christian character, and service to others. Strong Start offers Handwriting Without Tears, a developmentally appropriate handwriting program; Building Blocks Math, which teaches math using manipulatives; technology; hands-on materials and a literacy program based on New York State standards. Our mission is to educate individuals to become leaders and reach their full potential in a family atmosphere rooted in Catholic Tradition and Gospel Values.
Annunciation Early Childhood Learning Center, located at 7580 Clinton St. in Elma, is now accepting applications for its 2015-16 pre-school program that will begin in September. Pre-K3 will be offered from 9 to 11:30 am Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Pre-K4 will be held from 9 to 11:30 am. Monday through Friday.
Before and After School Options: 7:30-9:00 am drop off, "lunch bunch" from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. Fee is $5.00 per hour. Lunch and drink is the responsibility of the student's family.
Following the New York State core standards for preschools, the primary goal in Annunciation Pre-K is to have your child’s first experience in school be a positive, fun and successful one!
Pre-K students at Annunciation review colors and shapes and begin pre-math, pre-writing and pre-reading skills, and work to develop the social and learning skills that are important for academic success. Students also begin using sign language as a second language and enjoy art, music, library, computers, physical education and science. This is also the perfect age to begin learning prayers.
A $150 non-refundable registration fee and a copy of the child’s birth certificate are required when an application is submitted. Students must be potty trained before the start of the pre-school year.
