6th Sunday of Easter

During his farewell discourse in the Gospel according to St. John, Jesus says to his disciples: “As the Father loves me, so I love you. Remain in my love. Keep my commandments. Love one another.” I have been asking myself the question: “What is love?” An answer came unexpectedly. Carrie and Cynthia (teachers) invited me to join our children in Pre-K 3 & 4 for Mother’s Day Tea (and cookies & juice). I arrived in time for a story. The girls & boys and their moms & grandmothers were listening to: “Love You Forever” written by Robert Munsch and illustrated by Sheila McGraw. It is a beautiful story about love. It answers my question. Appropriate today. Happy Mother’s Day.
