During the year and especially during the season of Thanksgiving the Church of the Annunciation receives donations designated to help people in need. Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, we have established “The Angel Fund.†It is set up to provide temporary financial assistance to parishioners in need relating to medical bills, living expenses (heat, electricity, food, clothing, etc.), unemployment, or loss of housing. A parishioner in need or a person on behalf of a parishioner in need can request assistance. All requests must be in writing and must include a brief narrative detailing the circumstances or reasons for the request. Please address requests to the pastor and be assured that all names will be held in confidence. Voluntary contributions sustain the Angel Fund. No offertory or parish income is used; nor is the fund used for general parish expenses. The pastor, pastoral associate for ministry and a member of the finance committee manage the fund. Distribution follows established business practices and subject to parish audit review.
