“As Christian stewards we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.†(Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response, USCCB)
As faithful stewards we aspire to live God-centered rather than self-centered. Stewardship is having the wisdom to understand that everything we have is a gift from God of which we are to be the absolute best caretakers. Stewardship is living a life of thankfulness; thanking God for the gifts we have received, of all our time, abilities and money.
Time: Can you give of your time to work on a fundraiser, visit the sick, read to a child, or minister to the homebound? We invite you to volunteer your time to improve the lives of those in the Church and community.
Talent: Talent is found in your personality, your skills and your hobbies. Are you a gardener, plumber, baker, carpenter, knitter? Do you like interacting with others, love talking to people, enjoy leading a group? Whatever your talent, Annunciation Parish can use your help.
Treasure: Parishioners are asked to make a conscious decision to give a portion of their income on a regular basis for God’s work.
Stewardship is having the wisdom to understand that everything we have is a gift from God.
